Abstract:
Ambiguous genitalia is a birth defect in which the outer genitals do not have the typical appearance of either a boy or a girl. Ambiguous genitalia may be a result of a disorder of sexual development (DSD) previously called intersex condition. Disorders of sex development (DSDs) are congenital conditions in which the development of chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomic sex is atypical.
